#1: Marketing for startups by Westartup: key tools, practical tips and tricks to build awareness of your new company and its products.
ABOUT WORKSHOP:
Each four-hour workshop delivers a broad theoretical introduction (1 hour) and a practical collaborative session (3 hours) in small groups (4-6 people). During the collaborative session, each participant will have time to ask questions pertinent to his or her business.
As result, each participant will leave the Workshop with an outline of an action plan and with a recommendation for the first steps in executing it.
What you’ll hear: overview of free or very inexpensive tools you can use to build awareness of your new company and its products
What you’ll do: work on your marketing plan with the help of the expert and your fellow entrepreneurs

Climate Debate at the European Parliament – May 5

When? Wednesday 5 May 2010, 09.30-12:30
The Debate will present the environmental, climate and social impacts of tar sands and discuss relevant EU policy proposals in the context of EU Climate Agenda (Fuel Quality Directive – FQD), Europe 2020 Strategy, relations with Canada as well as address the issue of EU energy security in the tar sands context.
It will bring together representatives of the European Commission, European Parliament, US and European experts, industry, international organisations, civil society members from European and developing countries including communities affected by tar sands operations in Canada.
